A Holistic Counseling Practice in Charleston, SC

Religious Trauma

Adverse religious messaging and experiences may have taught you to distrust your heart, mind, and body, especially if you are a member of the queer community. You may be transitioning in your faith, wrestling through the remnants of high control religion, or losing community as your beliefs change. Find support and healing in your journey.

Highly Sensitive Person

The world can feel especially overwhelming for those of us with extra-sensitive sensory processing systems. You may find yourself more easily overwhelmed by sounds, smells, lights, and emotions than your peers. Find out more about being a highly sensitive person (or the parent of a highly sensitive child) and start learning management strategies today.

Individual Therapy

At Labyrinth,  I work with a combination of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), IFS (internal family systems), ego state, and attachment therapy to facilitate personal healing and integration. My work is informed by mindfulness and somatic approaches, especially with clients who have spent a long time intellectualizing their distress and are ready for something deeper.

Climate Anxiety/Depression

What lies ahead for our planet is uncertain, and witnessing climate change and disasters can cause resonant feelings of anxiety and depression about our collective future. Living in a coastal climate may feel like a difficult reminder of imminent sea level rise and ecological instability. Navigating how to manage climate-related emotions can be best supported by a climate-aware therapist.
